Landlord's Self-Help Centre is governed by a Board of Directors.
The ten-member Board is comprised of
volunteers representing skilled professionals who have taken an interest in
the work and business affairs of the Centre and landlords representing

| Harry Fine, President | |
| Mr. Fine is the President of Landlord Solutions, a company supporting landlords at Ontario's Landlord and Tenant Board and Small Claims Court. Harry is a former adjudicator with the Ontario Rental Housing Tribunal. Harry is an approved education provider for the Toronto and Mississauga Real Estate Boards, delivering a training course as part of realtors' continuing education requirement, dealing with landlord and tenant law. He does extensive training for the Ontario Non-Profit Housing Association, and has recently provided training on how to succeed at the Tribunal at their annual conference. Prior to his time at the Tribunal, Harry operated Bowlerama, Canada’s largest chain of entertainment and recreation centres. | |
| Robert G. Doumani, Vice President | |
| Mr. Doumani is a partner at Aird & Berlis LLP and a member of the firm’s Municipal and Land Use Planning Group and Executive Committee. He practises administrative law and litigation, with an emphasis on municipal planning, development and housing issues, including condominium conversions and rent regulation. Robert acts on behalf of the public and private sector in connection with public/private and public/public sector partnerships, land use issues, development charges and municipal finance matters. He is the co-author of Ontario Residential Tenancies Law and is recognized in The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory as a leading lawyer in the area of Land Use Planning / Municipal Law. | |

| Stephen Scanlan, Secretary | |
| Stephen is a Director of Human Resources at Deloitte & Touche, one of Canada's leading professional services firms. He is a member of the Human Resources Professional's Association of Ontario (HRPAO) having spent his career in HR both as a consultant and as an executive. He holds a Master's degree in Education from the University of Toronto. Stephen is small scale landlord owning an 8-unit residence in Cabbagetown. Stephen was appointed Secretary of the Board in 2007. | |
| Chi Ho Ng, CA, CPA(IL), MBA, Treasurer | |
|
Chi Ho Ng is the Principal, Auditing and
Assurance with the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA).
In this role, Chi Ho is responsible for identifying, researching and
making recommendations on complex auditing and assurance issues in
Canada, drafting Canadian auditing and assurance standards and
guidelines and supporting various International Standards on Auditing
convergence projects. Chi Ho is also a part-time auditing instructor at
the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. Prior to joining the
CICA, Chi Ho was the Director of Professional Standards and Education at
a mid-sized public accounting firm and was appointed as a practice
inspector for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario. Chi Ho has also written training material on accounting, assurance and risk management topics for both local and international accounting firms and has given numerous public speeches on accounting, assurance and business issues. |

| Kenneth Chestney | |
| Mr. Chestney is a landlord and property manager for an array of real estate. He is a member of the Certified General Accountant Association of Ontario. Ken volunteers his time by lecturing for the CGA and invigilating at province wide exams. He has also lectured for the LSHC on Second Suites. Mr. Chestney is married with 2 children and lives in North Toronto. | |
| Alex Ciraco | |
|
Alex is Director of Software and
Electrical Engineering at Smiths Detection, and is responsible for
development of sophisticated, and highly sensitive analytical
instruments used in the detection of explosives, narcotics, chemical
warfare agents and toxic industrial chemicals.
Along with his wife Margaret, he has been
a small scale landlord and member of LSHC since 2003. He joined the
Board in June of 2008.

| Michelle Francis | |
|
Principal of TTG Consult Inc., a company specializing in financial literacy, cultural competency, event marketing and corporate training since 1995. Michelle has collaborated with Ontario Members of Provincial Parliament and has been delegate at symposiums on employment equity and labour shortage. With 10 years of professional experience in corporate and not for profit sectors such as Rogers Communications, Investors Group and Heart and Stroke Foundation in diverse industries like marketing, finance, and human resources from strategic planning to education, Michelle has yielded a distinguished business acumen in multi-disciplined sectors. As an advocate of community citizenship is a volunteer member of Habitat for Humanity as Director Fund Development and Co-Chair Strategic Planning and member of Cultural Human Resources Council, the Canadian Employee Relocation Council and the Cooperative Federation of Toronto. |

| Fred Kemper | |
| Mr. Kemper is a self-employed property manager and real estate broker and a small-scale landlord. Fred is an active member of the Canadian Legion and a member of the Poppy Committee. He has been a member of the Board of Directors since 1985 and held the offices of Secretary and President. | |
| Wayne Sankarlal | |
|
Wayne is a Director of Business Development for xiB/OSS Corporation, an international IT consulting firm active in the telecommunications sector. He also leads the business systems improvement efforts of the company where he is responsible the cost-effective melding of technology benefits with business needs. Wayne holds an MBA in Telecommunications Management and a Master of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Miami. He joined the Board in July of 2007. |

| Tory Sullivan, BA, BEd, | |
|
Tory is a self-employed property manager and has enjoyed this role for the last 11 years. She has been an active member of LSHC since 2001 and participated in the focus group for CMHC's Best Practices Guide for Residential Rental Investors in 2006 and has been involved with the Landlordconnect Project since it’s inception. Tory is a landlord with four apartments in the Beach area of Toronto. She and her husband have two children. Tory became a member of the Board of Directors in March 2007. |

We are always
interested in recruiting volunteers to participate on board committees.
Candidates for the Board of Directors are often recruited from
committees. Involving oneself in a committee provides a strong foundation of knowledge
about the Centre and insight into the Centre's operation, policies,
procedures, history and objectives.
